About Natalie Groen, Mediator


Natalie received her B.A. in law and human rights from Carleton University in 2008 and her J.D. from the University of Western Ontario Law School in 2012.  Since her call to the bar in 2013, Natalie practiced at several prominent Bay Street firms and in the legal department of a public transport agency.

Natalie’s practice focused on litigating personal injury claims including motor vehicle accidents, occupiers’ liability and product liability as well as property damage and professional negligence.  Natalie was lead counsel in several Superior Court Trials and has also appeared before the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario and the Licence Appeal Tribunal.

Through her experience as litigation counsel, Natalie gained a keen awareness of the difference a good mediator can make in a dispute. As a mediator, Natalie approaches each mediation with the prevailing objective of achieving resolution for her clients. Natalie is practical, tenacious and committed to helping her clients resolve difficult disputes and find value through mediation. She offers a creative, focused, flexible and collaborative style of mediation by building trust and assisting her clients in accurately assessing risk and obstacles.
